I know I have been MIA for a looooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg time and I sooo apologize. I've been really overwhelmed with work and home front things going on I just did really have time to sit and watch a decent movie. Recently I was privileged with a break to do so.
This past weekend I saw a great movie that took a turn I DID NOT expect. "The Experiment" starring Adrian Brody of "King Kong" and "The Pianist" and Forrest Whitaker don't think I need to say which movies he played in. These 2 gentlemen did an extraordinary job with their roles in this film. You have to watch every piece because it truly makes you wonder.
Oh yeah about this movie well hmm Travis (Adrian Brody) plays a young man whose working in a hospital part time who one day finds himself being laid off not due to his work ability, but due to what we ALL hate to hear "cut backs". So in search of looking for work or "fast money" he finds an add in the newspaper looking for volunteers to enter in an Experiment paying $14,000 per person (I mean who wouldn't want to try this out). He decides to go to the location where he meets Forrest Whitaker and a few other known actors where they all get screened and tested to see if they are fit for this Experiment. I'm debating on if I should tell you more, but title alone got me wondering what the heck kind of experiment could this be?
Well my bloggie friends let me let you check out a clip and see if you don't want to go run to the nearest theatre or boot leg man and watch this here movie :-)

It's Complicated....(yes it really is) & The Road
Ok so this weekend (Friday night to be exact) I had to the pleasure of watching 2 GREAT films. One a romantic comedy "It's Complicated" & a tear jerker "The Road".
It's Complicated starring Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin was one of the cutest and funniest movies I had the pleasure of viewing (and now critiquing). Just a small overview of the movie: It was about a couple who has divorced after 19 years of marriage and separated for 10 years decide to sort of re-kindle their once freaky deaky flames. Jake and Jane Adler(characters) couldn't stand to be in the same room with each other for the 10 years prior, but one day at their weekend trip to New York for their youngest child's graduation they got drunk (I mean really toasted) at their hotel restaurant and had sex. Now talk about OMG complicated yes VERY complicated. I mean how would they explain this too the kids and further more Jane's ex-husband/baby daddy was now married to the mistress he cheated on Jane with that caused their still divorce WOOOOAAAAHHHH!!! Any-who time went on Jane was all confused (she enjoyed it non-the-less) HOWEVER she didn't feel comfortable with it. Of course as we women do she consulted her friends and her therapist and they said "there's no harm in having a little fun" go ahead Jane do you honey (as we young people like to say).
Needless to say when all was said and done people got hurt, children got hurt, but of course like all romantic comedies it gave a pretty decent ending. I think you'll enjoy it.

The Road starring Viggo Mortensen was (in my own opinion) an Oscar nominated movie. This had to have been one of the greatest movies I've seen to date. I truly enjoyed the way it played out and the story line of just trying to survive in this cold dark world after a major catastrophe years prior.
This movie shows us a little of how we in this world may end up once judgment day comes and what we will have to do to survive IF we want to. Viggo did an outstanding job as lead actor in this movie and I don't want to spoil it so I truly think everyone should go rent this movie, download it or head to your nearest dollar theater to see if it's still showing. Oh and don't forget your box of kleenex cause your gona need it.

The Invention of Lying
Boy oh boy was this a FUNNY movie or what. Talk about telling the truth. OMG all I have to say is I truly think the world needs to see this film. Ricky Gervais who is the main character in the movie also one of the directors of this film have put together this story of a world where people knows no lying. How does that work you say...??? Well let me just say the 1st thing that comes to your mind with out thinking about it you say and don't consider any ones feelings. Hmmm come to think of it I know quite a few people like that now.
Any-who in this film also plays some of our other known actors and actresses such as Jennifer Gardner from "Million Dollar Baby", Rob Low from "St. Elmo's Fire" and (by only god's understanding was named one of the most beautiful people in 2000 by people magazine) NOT (sorry had to add that in there) they ultimately did an out right great job in their performances of well telling the truth (or saying what's on their minds...however you want to put it).
With that said if your home trying to figure out what movie you should watch an a set rainy day or just a lazy day go to your local block buster or red box (located in some Wal-marts, Walgreens and Publix supermarkets) and pick up a copy. I tell ya it'll be worth the dollar bills.
Enjoy then come back and tell me what you thought. Was it not one of the FUNNIEST movies you ever seen???
Peace out movie fans..

I Hate Valentines Day

I'd like to start by saying thank you for subscribing to my blog. I hope that as years to come this can become entertainment for some people.
With that said I Hate Valentines Day have you seen it (eye brow raised)?? If not save yourself the red box dollar or the two dollars for the should be dollar movie theater and wait til it shows on one of your local basic cable channels.
I'd like to say this...WHAT?? Was this a joke. I mean seriously did the producers really think just because they had the actors from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" in it that it was supposed to be a hit? PA LEASE!!! This was supposed to be a comedy and I only saw ONE funny scene which if you haven't seen it yet I won't spoil, but trust me you'll know.
The hair and make up was horrific, but I'm starting to wonder if that was done on purpose. Any-who if you have seen it I'd like your views on it. What did you think about it? Have you seen that movie....???
P.S. the movie went through 4 seasons filmed in Brooklyn, NY and she wore that same jacket the WHOLE time SMH.
More movies to come... :-)
